What if you do not raise enough money and can not study abroad? Where does all the money go? Also, is there somewhere, through AFS, that I can see for myself that they have the money?

I babysit, and I make $6/hr plus tips. So far, I've saved up $207 since the beginning of the year. I got the job by posting up flyers.

I'm a competitive gymnast/trampolinest and i got a job coahing gymnastics... i work between 8-10 hours a week and i've saved up over $400 since the second week of september

i did this with cub foods (a local gorcery store) they provided a ton of hot dogs, buns and pop. i sold them for two days for six hours each and ended up making $300 dollars!

I get a job this summer working 3 days a week bagging groceries. In a month I've already made about 500 dollars. And during the school year I'm probably going to still be making about 50 dollars a week.

I started a sponsor an AFSer blog using a Chipin widget to fund raise for my trip this summer to Ghana. I started to receive money. Yeah! But I cant see the comments that people leave or track who is giving money. I would like to be able to send thank you emails. Any idea how this function works? I emailed Chipin, but they have yet to respond

Oh, and AFS does not send students to Scotland. I would check out the available countries first (perhaps request a catalog, the new 2009 catalog just came out!)
